The International Culinary Center (founded as The French Culinary Institute)
The French Culinary Institute has been incredibly dedicated to The Cooking Room from the  start. Their involvement ties into the Future Cooks Initiative, The FCI's effort that draws on a broad base of support to create focused, sustainable programming that will result in healthier, more responsible eaters.

The Cooking Room is one of the stakeholders of the Future Cooks Initiative. Driven by culinary professionals, the program will give people the knowledge and skills they need to make nutritious, delicious food choices. Its focus is on real world, scalable programming that will make long-term positive change starting with this generation.

Chef Zak Pelaccio and his Fatty Crew
Zakary Pelaccio is one of the driving forces behind The Cooking Room.  A noted chef, successful restaurateur, and graduate of the French Culinary Institute, Zakary has always been committed to sourcing local ingredients and using only the freshest, highest quality products in his restaurants – a methodology and philosophy that he has been instilling in his own son, a student at PS3, from a very young age.  With The Cooking Room, he is able to share his skills and knowledge to help empower other young people to make smart choices about eating.  Through his close relationship with the FCI, Zakary was instrumental in bringing the acclaimed cooking school on board to help curate the program and provide much needed resources to the program.  Utilizing hands-on instruction, and drawing on some of the ingredients and flavors found at his restaurants, Zakary has used his weekly classes to help expand the culinary horizons of the students at PS3.

...and the supporters we can not do without

Our army of parent volunteers
First of all, our biggest supporters are all PS3 (John Melser Charrette public school) parents who donate their time, money or resources to make our pilot a succes. Too many to name but you know who you are and we couldn't do it without you. A huge thank you to all of you!

PS3 Administration
The support of PS3 who gave us a chance to pilot our program at their school has been amazing.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP
Without the pro-bono efforts of this law firm we would not have gotten as far as we are now.

Ganer, Grossbach & Ganer LLC
It's not just chefs, it is accountants too that make our program work!

Kushner Studios
Getting our cooking class room up and running took more than just gathering all cooking equipment in one room. Thanks to Kushner Studios, 32 kids can do some hands-on cooking - all at the same time.
